Quit smoking attempt No. ???

trying to quit is easy. i've tried many times.
so many that i've forgotten which time it is.

this attempt has been the most successful.
i've been off the stick for full 2 weeks, so i feel confident enough to share to anyone who might want to quit as well.

***background***

i used to be a 10-15 stickers smoker.
morning 3, during working hours 7 and evening another 3
that was my usual sticks count.

**routine**

so how did i quit smoking?

firstly, i list out all my smoking points.
waiting for my car to warm up in the morning, taking a shit, after meals etc.
it has to be as accurate as possible.
i removed 1 point and kept at it for 3 days.
then i added, so and so forth.
eventually i was 3-5 sticks a day.

i was also on a quit smoking aid called "Champix".
this drug is by presciption in Singapore. so see your doctor.
there are some side effects, mainly mood lost. but otherwise it is mild and almost un-noticeable.
while on the drug, it became difficult to smoke.
it became harder to take drags, so smoking was no longer as enjoyable to me.
the craving is still strong, however, as you slowly began to realise the drag is no longer enjoyable, it encourages you to stop.

of course there are alot more to it. however, i believe if anyone can follow the above 2 religiously, i think quitting is not impossible or at the very least, smoke alot less.

there will be another post about dealing with the craving...

has it been a year?

last yr, i made a post about running.
unfortunately it did not come true.
oh wells..

hopefully this year is different.

today also marks the day i've stopped smoking for 3 full weeks.
can't say i agree with all the health promotion notices that you will feel more awesome.
then again, i don't feel any worse, so probably going to stick with it for awhile.

i shall record down my quit smoking process, hopefully it can help someone someday.
